Reaching out to Those Affected by Hurricane Sandy

Our sincerest thoughts are with all of you from the Caribbean islands up through the eastern coast of the U.S. and Canada who have been affected by Hurricane Sandy this past week. When a natural disaster strikes, it’s a humbling reminder of just how fragile we are beneath the power of mother nature.

It’s also in times like these that support and knowledge sharing as part of a global community can provide comfort.

If you, along with your students, would like to send messages (text, audio, images, or video) to iEARNers across the region affected by the hurricane, please join us in the Natural Disaster Youth Summit forum.

Since 2004, the NDYS project has been helping students and their communities prepare for and recover from natural disasters around the world.
